Product Description

An ophthalmic solution called Travatan 2.5 ml (0.004%) treats open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. By increasing the outflow of aqueous fluid from the eye, it helps to lower intraocular pressure (IOP), therefore preventing injury to the optic nerve. Belonging to the class of prostaglandin analogs, the active component Travoprost is efficient in controlling ocular pressure and preserving eyesight.

Precautions

If you have a history of eye infections, uveitis, or macular edema, talk to your doctor before using Travatan.Steer clear of contact lenses. Apply the drops after removing contact lenses and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.Tell your doctor about any known allergies to Travoprost or other eye drops.If you are pregnant or nursing, use with caution since its safety in these circumstances is not completely known.Driving and Machinery: It could induce transient blurred vision, therefore avoid driving or using heavy machinery just after application.

How to use

Before using the drug, wash your hands well.To make a little pocket, tilt your head back and softly draw your lower eyelid down.Once daily in the evening, put 1 drop of Travatan in the afflicted eye(s).For one to two minutes, keep your eyes closed and refrain from excessive blinking.To avoid contamination, do not contact your eye or any surface with the tip of the dropper.
